TV: Edmund is currently writing music for a new BBC film celebrating the life of Quentin Blake. Other TV work in 2020 includes cookery show ‘Crazy Delicious’ (Channel 4/Netflix), the latest series of ‘The Real Marigold Hotel’ (BBC 1), ‘Our Big Yorkshire Christmas’ (Channel 5) and the ongoing series of ‘Unreported World’ (C4). ‘A Merry Tudor Christmas with Lucy Worsley’ was shown again in December on BBC 2.
Library: De Wolfe released a seventh album of his library music (‘A Traditional Christmas’) and he is currently working on another library album. Earlier in 2020 Sony (Juice label) released ‘Strings and Piano’ (also available on Spotify) and Lovely Music released an album ‘True Stories: Heartfelt Piano and Strings’. Library tracks featured in shows recently include a major new Australian drama series (Channel Seven) ‘Between Two Worlds’ and a Thanksgiving film for the Lincoln Project.
Concert: ‘The Lesser Spotted Woodpecker’ from ‘The Red Birds’ was live streamed by its commissioners The Animo Duo in December 2020. Earlier in the year ‘What comes after M?’ was given an Honorable Mention in the Azimuth Orchestra Call for Scores. ‘Moments’ for two trumpets and ‘The Mechanicals’ for solo tuba were also given Honorable Mentions (in the Diversity Initiative and Leonard Falcone Festival Competition 2020 respectively). Edmund recently contributed two new double-bass pieces ‘The Cygnet’ and ‘Secret Agent’ which will be published by Recital Music in 2021.
