TV/Film: ‘Eric Ravilious: Drawn to War‘ – a feature film about the artist Eric Ravilious, with a score by Edmund, has been nominated for a BAFTA. It continues to be shown in cinemas all over the UK. He is currently writing music for the next series of ‘Grand Designs: The Street’, and documentaries for ITV and BBC respectively. He recently finished work on another ITV documentary in which Jeremy Paxman investigates Parkinson’s disease.
Concert: Edmund’s commission from the London Chinese Children’s Ensemble ‘Three Tang Poems’ was premiered on 27 August. Recent choral premieres include ‘Everyone Sang’ (Palace A Cappella Choir) and ‘It was a lover and his lass’ (Dartford Township Choir). His solo piano album will be recorded in Denmark later this month. ‘Ramsody’ for marimba, commissioned by the Royal Academy of Music, will be premiered in November.
Library: De Wolfe have released his eighth production music album for them: ‘Lives in History’. His track ‘Believe in Me’ (Juice/APM) has now been streamed over 1.5 million times on Spotify.
